It is possible to actually lose weight during the quarantine. Here are a few to help you along your way:

  • Increase your walking. Every mile that you walk burns 70-100 calories. If you walk for about an hour that’s about 300-400 calories. If you do that every day for eight days you’ll burn a pound of fat (3100 calories).
  • Increase your veggie consumption. The increase in natural fiber makes you feel full, The fiber also absorbs fat in the digestive tract which will lower calories absorbed as well as lower your cholesterol.
  • Sleep more. Lack of restful sleep increases stress hormones that contribute to weight gain.
  • Drink more water. Many people actually eat when they are thirsty. Now that you are home the water supply is nearby. My rule of thumb is to take your weight in lbs. and divide by two. That is how many ounces of water you should drink per day.

(Note: 4 weeks into the quarantine and I have lost 5 lbs.)
